Description

The Nutribullet 1000 Series was the first Nutribullet to offer an insulated blending cup as part of the deal. The double-wall stainless steel cup is designed to keep your drinks cool on the go. The 1000 series has a bigger motor than the original NutriBullet 600, but you might find the larger cups a bit oversized for carrying around. Yes, a post on the Nutribullet blog explains that you can put ice in your blender if you're making a smoothie. However, ice should only take up about a quarter of the cup – don't overload your machine. Also, make sure the pieces you're using are no larger than 2cm cubed. How do you clean a Nutribullet? There are no grind settings per se. You control the size of your coffee particles based on intuition. The cups vary in size between 0.6 litres and 1.3 litres, and some pricier models come with a jug unit for making larger batches. You can get two different blades with the Nutribullet – one for blending liquids and one for milling hard foods – as well as a comprehensive recipe book. Are Nutribullets juicers? Do not put hot liquids in any of the blending vessels before blending. Start with cool or room temparature ingredients. Heated ingredients can create internal pressure in a sealed blending vessel, which may erupt on opening and cause thermal injury.

IMPORTANT TIP: Turn the Nutribullet upside down and shake it once or twice between each incremental pulse when you’re grinding fine or extra fine. This helps distribute the grinds better in the hopes of creating a more even grind. Remember to Clean Your NutriBullet After Grinding Coffee Beans Grind your ingredients in small batches – no larger than an ounce or two – to prevent excess heat from building up inside the cup. This means you’ll have ground coffee beans left over for storage, so you might as well buy pre-ground coffee. If you’re making pasta sauce, you can use the milling blade to grind up some onions for a fresh and rich flavor that’s perfect on spaghetti!

As there are no power buttons on the nutribullet, the blender is turned on when the tabs on the cup press the activators on the motor base.

The Nutribullet milling blade is a flat, round blade that’s designed to complement your existing Nutribullet blades and cups. It’s perfect for making nut butter, grinding grains, seeds, and spices to make homemade flours, or even chopping nuts. Nutribullets are essentially blenders – they blend foods such as fruit, vegetables, seeds and nuts into liquids or pastes. To prevent overheating, never allow the motor to run for one minute at a time, as it can cause permanent damage to the motor. If the motor stops working, unplug the Power Base and let it cool for an hour before attempting to use it again. Your nutribullet has an enternal thermal breaker that shuts off the unit when it overheats. The Power Base will reset when the unit is unplugged and the thermal breaker cools down. After emptying your ground coffee, you need to clean your Nutribullet to avoid cross-contamination of flavors. Unless you want some coffee flavor in your next smoothie 🙂 The extractor assembly has crossed blades with a patented pro extractor design. These blades are best for blending wet ingredients such as smoothies and shakes. Don’t grind for too long, as the heat from the blades will heat up your grinds and degrade their quality. There are lots of recipes available, so it might be best to start with these and then adapt them to suit your tastes.

Like other more expensive blenders, you tend to feel the difference in the build quality, and you'll get BPA-free plastic cups. The more you pay, the more you'll get in terms of additional accessories, power and capacity. But you won't necessarily get a better blender, as we've found that a higher price doesn't always equal smoother results. The Nutribullet 1200 Series is a more premium version of the 1000 series, with a more powerful 1,200W motor and an extra blending cup with a handle. The blades are permanently connected to the assembly which tightly screws on the cups and then goes onto the blender base. Most Nutribullets work with two different blades: one for blending and one for milling. The blending blade, which Nutribullet calls the extractor blade, has four prongs. The milling blade has just two, which are flatter in design. It's a heavy blender, weighing almost 4kg, and it's tall, too: 47cm when the biggest blending cup is in position. It's cumbersome to move around, so you'll probably want to make room for it on your kitchen worktop. The extra accessories mean you'll need some spare cupboard space, too.You can also use it along with your blender cup to chop veggies into small pieces before cooking them.
