I read a lot of spicy books and, while the spicy scenes are decent, BOTH MCs are just SO unlikable, I found myself disgusted the majority of the book.

I feel like there could’ve been a little bit more character development, especially knowing this is going to be a series. After a night out with her best friend, celebrating college graduation they head back to Tatum's (her best friend.Bianca has always had a crush on her best friends dad who is twice her age but feels like he sees her as just a little girl. Sooooo this was my first "Best friend's dad romance" book and let me tell you it did not disappoint. Yeah, you heard that right…this crazy mfer placebo’d her BC then told her she could go nowhere and speak to no one without his permission. And that was all without even learning he swapped her birth control for sugar pills and gave her a fertility shot after making her cum so hard she passed out.

The cover for Empire of Lust is what first drew me in, book 1 in the Torrio Empire trilogy was gripping and addictive. I feel like in most mafia books the fmc struggles for a chapter with the fact that their love interest unalives people for a living and then it's never mentioned again. After an unexpected encounter at the pool, an opportunity presents itself and feelings unravel and things heat up between the couple. Self confidence: I know almost everyone suffers from no self confidence but this for sure applies to me to.This is about Bianca who is interested in her friend Tatum's dad who also happens to be 20 years older and happens to be in the Mafia. I recommend checking the trigger warnings before diving in, but I think this is one most mafia dark romance readers would enjoy. l beck is one of my favourite authors (the one where you pick up her book, and nothing else gets done until you've finished it). I have waited for this book with absolute bated breath from the moment I first saw this author sharing it on social media.I didn't even realize this was the first type of book like this I've read until I was reading a very very smutty pool scene ;).

Nothing is quiet as exciting to her as reading a good book and then talking about it or making comments while reading with her friends that have read the book too. It has everything I wanted in a book so knew that once I started I wouldn't be able to stop and I think I highlighted every single page near enough. She enjoys writing and recently starting a literary agency to help represent authors in the industry.On the other, the FMC is too weak and changes her mind at the drop of a hat which is ultra annoying.
